With the recent announcement that Star Fox Zero has been pushed back to 2016, good news has been hard to come by when it comes to Nintendo. On the bright side, it looks like their biggest release of the holiday season is off to a great start.
According to Nintendo of America’s Twitter account, Super Mario Maker has surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide since its release on September 11th. In addition, Nintendo also revealed that 2.2 million user-created stages have been uploaded, with nearly 75 million plays.
While 1 million is relative small change when measured up against other game sales numbers, it’s impressive considering the Wii U’s install base still only sits just over the 10 million mark.
