Leaked Image Reveals ‘Destiny 2’ Release Date

Another week, another video game leak.

This time out, a retailer has leaked marketing materials for Bungie’s highly-anticipated Destiny 2. The images don’t reveal much but they do come with a release date: Friday, September 8.

The above image was leaked by an Italian retailer and hints at an upcoming beta, while a second image contains the aforementioned release date. It’s possible that this is the European release date, as games typically come out on Tuesdays in North America and in Europe on Fridays. Both posters show the same three helmet-less humans, one of whom appears to be holding a Suros-brand shotgun (and if that means nothing to you, why the heck are you even reading this?).

According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, Bungie is expected to officially announce Destiny 2 today. The biggest rumors for the game so far are that it is coming to PC and will address the lifeless planets featured in the original game with new locations that feature various towns, outposts, and quests.
